Heights of Abraham
Year 3 children had an early morning start as they headed off to Matlock to visit the Heights of Abraham. After an exciting cable car journey to the top of the hills, they went back in time to the Victorian era to discover the caverns excavated by the lead miners. They learnt about the geology of the landscape, saw fossils in the rock and learnt about past mining techniques. A wonderful day with amazing vistas.
