Year 3 Whitworth Art Gallery Trip
Year 3 visited Whitworth Art Gallery and really enjoyed using the maps they were given to locate the unique sculptures in the gallery's outside grounds! The sun was shining, and they had a lovely walk around the park, drawing some of the sculptures and learning about the materials 3D artists use.
Once back inside the gallery, pupils participated in a 3D workshop with local artist Helen Newman. They were given a number of different creative activities to do, including trying to build the tallest sculpture they possibly could using the materials provided! They found this great fun and were very competitive!
The trip was finished off with a lovely walk around the gallery, where they looked at the exhibitions and chose their favourite artworks!
