Year 5 visit to Jodrell Bank

On Wednesday, Year 5 enjoyed a fun-filled day of science at Jodrell Bank. In connection with our topic on Earth and Space, the children explored the extensive exhibition pavilions, full of fascinating facts and amazing information about our galaxy and beyond. We were very lucky with the weather, so we were able to spend time investigating the interactive outside area, dwarfed by the magnificent Lovell Telescope. For many of the children, the highlight of the day was taking a tour around the 8 planets of our solar system with some mind-boggling concepts, all from the comfort of the 'Space Dome'.
