EGG-CITING TIMES IN RECEPTION!

Five out of our seven eggs have hatched so far—much to the joy of the Reception children and the rest of the school! Some of the children have been lucky enough to witness a chick break out of its shell and join the world. We have Cupcake, Marshmallow, Buttercup and Matilda.  The fifth chick made their entrance late afternoon and, as yet, hasn't been given a name.

During visiting times, there has been a constant stream of visitors from all year groups and staff! The children have shown the utmost respect for the newly born chicks, taking care not to be too noisy in case they startle them.
