Year 6 had an amazing day following in the footsteps of Emperor Hadrian and his mighty army 2,000 years ago. They started at the Roman Army Museum , followed by a picnic in the sun. They then continued for a walk along Hadrian’s Wall  (some great views!), before going down to the excavations of the Roman fort and village at Vindolanda. There they had a tour, handled real objects out of the ground and talked to archaeologists before heading back to Hale . Well done Year 6!
